America sanctioned Azerbaijani companies for helping Russia

According to the media of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on May 1, the US Department of Treasury imposed sanctions that target Russian military vehicles and institutions and individuals that help this country circumvent the sanctions.

The statement said that today’s sanctions target Russia’s military-industrial base and its chemical-biological weapons, as well as companies and individuals in third countries that provide assistance to Russia.

It is also emphasized that 60 of these targets are located in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Belgium, Slovakia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

It is noted that these companies provided technology and equipment that Russia needed from abroad.

Jehangir Aliyev is the director of Lahıc Energy and the son of Yevgeny Aliyev.
