Saudi Foreign Minister’s stance on the Gaza war at the Gambia meeting

The Saudi Foreign Minister explained the latest position of his country regarding the Gaza war.

report Mehr News quoted by Al Jazeera, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, in the opening speech of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit, while congratulating Gambia for chairing this summit, stated that his country calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Saudi Foreign Minister also emphasizes the importance of providing safe humanitarian crossings to end the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.

The summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation started in Banjul, the capital of Gambia. The issue of the war against the Gaza Strip is at the top of the priorities of the 15th meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The purpose of holding this meeting is to strengthen unity in facing the urgent challenges facing the Islamic Ummah and to expand cooperation and solidarity among the member countries in achieving the stated common goals. It is in the charter of this organization.

This two-day summit with the slogan “Strengthening unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development” will examine global issues and issues, including the current situation in Palestine and the current war of the regime. Zionism in the Gaza Strip, which has led to the martyrdom of more than 34 thousand people; will be discussed.
