The growing dissatisfaction of Europeans with democracy

The world, including the 15 member states of the European Union, is considered the largest evaluator of democracy in the world, conducted a study between February and April of this year.

According to this study, although Most citizens of the European Union (57%) consider their country to be democratic, but in the three countries of France, Greece and Hungary, the majority now believe that they do not live in a democracy.

In addition to suppressing protests in support of Palestine, which has taken place in major European countries, as well as the recent student movement, which is facing harsh treatment by the security forces of Western countries, the protests of the Europeans themselves regarding the increase in prices, the request for an increase in wages, and the farmers’ protest movement have been fruitless.

After the exit from the Corona crisis and also the start of the Ukraine war, which was accompanied by great economic consequences for Europe, the issue of rising prices and insufficient wages caused protests by the people of many European countries, including Germany , England and France.
