According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Inspiration “Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transportation” Mukhkov, together with “Ismatullah Irgashov”, the country’s special representative for Afghanistan, and a technical team consisting of the private sector, railways, geology and mining sector, met with “Amir Khan Motaghi”, the foreign minister of the Taliban government.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban, Mukherov stated in this meeting that Tashkent supports the policy of Kabul to turn Afghanistan into the transit center of the region.
He added that he has come to Kabul with a team of Uzbek engineers to start the practical and feasibility of the “Afghan Trans” project, and in the next few weeks, a delegation with railway construction equipment will come to Afghanistan.
The Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan also stated that a geological and mining technical team for exploration and extraction of oil and gas is also with the officials of the Ministry Mines and oil of the Taliban will meet.
Mukhumov also announced Uzbekistan’s readiness for 24-hour customs and border services between the two countries and reduction of transit tariffs.
