The leaders of Turkey and Greece, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakas Mitsotakis discussed the roadmap of relations between Ankara and Athens as well as trade prospects, Hurriyet newspaper reported. They will discuss between the two countries and the situation in Gaza.
Greece Prime Minister Kyriakas Mitsotakis will visit Ankara on Monday at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to diplomatic sources, during Mitsotakis’ visit to Turkey, the continuation of cooperation in various fields including economy, transportation, science and technology, agriculture, tourism, health and human relations will be on the agenda.
Issues related to minorities in the cities of Rhodes, Stankoi and Thessaloniki are also to be examined.
The simple procedure of issuing visas for the entry of Turkish citizens to 10 Greek islands, which has been implemented since March 30 of this year, and the issue of its continuation will also be discussed. .
On the other hand, prominent businessmen of the two countries are planned to meet under the umbrella of the “Joint Trade Council” that will be established.
Cooperations in the fight against terrorism and expectations in these areas, as well as the joint fight against illegal immigration, are discussed.
It is expected that Turkey’s point of view on regional and international developments, especially the issue of Zionist and Palestinian occupiers, will be transferred to the Greek side.
The meeting between the leaders of Turkey and Greece and the discussion about the developments in Gaza takes place while Erdogan has intensified his criticism of the Zionists in recent weeks.
