According to the international group Tasnim News Agency, Mohsen Al-Mandlawi, Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, on Saturday the 18th appointed May (May 29) to elect the new speaker of the parliament.

Previously, Al-Sadarah coalition headed by “Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani”, the former speaker of the Iraqi parliament, in a statement of joining the “Tadegh” coalition headed by “Mohammed Al-Halbousi” announced the deposed speaker of the Iraqi parliament.

This coalition emphasized the need to implement the political agreement document that Iraqi political forces have agreed on in the framework of the government’s program and take action to resolve the issue of electing the speaker of the parliament.

According to Middle East News, Al-Sadarah coalition has four representatives in the parliament, which are Mahmoud Mashdhani, Talal Al-Zubaei, Khalid Al-Obeidi and Mohammad Nouri Abderrabh.

According to the observers, the joining of this coalition to The Tadegh coalition, which is the majority faction of Iraqi Sunnis, will help to strengthen the position of Mahmoud al-Mashhadani for the presidency of the Iraqi parliament.

Previously, the Iraqi parliament four times to elect the successor of Mohammad al-Halbousi as the president of the parliament due to differences between Sunni political groups have failed.
