The following is the full text of the interview Mehr News Agency You read with Ahmad Al-Kuma, the head of a Palestinian family, who is a writer and journalist and managed to survive the Zionist genocide in Gaza:
How did the visitors of Tehran Book Fair welcome you?
My family and I are happy to be in Iran. We consider Iran as our second country after Palestine. In fact, I entered Iran with a different idea, and when I sat and got up and socialized with Iranian people, my idea changed. We are facing a resilient, cultured, very civilized and intelligent nation, and thank God, I see these characteristics in all the visitors to the International Book Fair. We are now in the Palestine pavilion at the book fair, and the existence of the Palestine pavilion in this exhibition shows the fact that Palestine is in the heart of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the dear nation of Iran. Another point about the Palestine pavilion in this exhibition is that this issue shows the depth of genuine and historical relations between the people of Iran and Palestine, and for this reason, we do not feel alienated here, and our feeling is that we live between our people and our nation. , because we share everything with them. The enemy of both of us is the same, which is the Zionist occupiers. We both have a common goal called Palestine. I remember that Imam Khomeini (RA) used to say in one of his speeches: The issue of Palestine is the issue of Islam and concerns all Muslims on earth. Therefore, there are many commonalities between the Palestinian people and Iran.
Master Ahmed! We understand that you have recently left Gaza after a long period of genocide by the Zionist occupation regime. How is the spirit of the residents of this area?
The reality is that the situation in Gaza is very difficult; We are witnessing an unprecedented war in the history of the Palestinian nation. Our resistance has continued since 75 years ago, and we are facing the last occupation in the world and the longest occupation in the modern era, which has caused many problems and countless disasters. Genocide and ethnic cleansing and collective punishment of the Gazan people are being followed there, while all these actions are considered crimes from the point of view of international laws. This time is the longest war that Israel has faced and many equations have changed in this war, but the constant point is that our nation is still resistant and stable and standing as a hero.
I address all Iranian citizens and announce to them from every platform and opportunity that one of the factors of our stability in Gaza and Palestine after trusting in God His Highness is the support of the Arab and Islamic nations, including the Iranian nation. Your messages and your support reach us, and on behalf of all the residents of Gaza, I thank you for your past, present and future support of the Palestinian cause.
