report Mehr News, according to Xinhua, a new wave of heavy rain and flooding in northern Afghanistan, which hit Faryab province this time, led to the death of at least 47 people in this province. Shamsuddin Mohammadi, the head of culture and information department of Faryab province, has confirmed this news.

Afghanistan Tolo News television network reported earlier that the flood victims in Ghor and Faryab provinces have increased to about 70 people. Meanwhile, according to new reports, the total number of victims of these two provinces has now reached at least 100.

For weeks, floods caused by seasonal rains have destroyed large parts of Afghanistan and left many victims and injured. Last week, the officials of the caretaker government of the Taliban announced the number of victims of the flood in northern Afghanistan at 315 and the number of injured at 1,600.
