According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from Al-Mayadin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today, Monday, on the occasion of the martyrdom of “Syed Ebrahim Raisi”; He announced a day of public mourning in this country.
The President of Turkey said in this regard that in the meeting of his country’s cabinet, he decided to announce a day of public mourning in order to sympathize with the people of Iran.
According to Anatoly, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appeared in front of the cameras this evening after the cabinet meeting and said: “I am very saddened by the death of my brother, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ebrahim Raisi and the members of the delegation. We were impressed. I ask God Almighty for mercy for all our brothers who lost their lives. In the meeting of the government board, I had a phone conversation with the vice president, Mr. Mohammad Mokhbar, and expressed my condolences to him.
He further added: “Iran is our border neighbor and Iranian people are our brothers. We share the same geography and work together in peace for centuries. We have always appreciated Iran’s strong support for the Palestinian cause.
Erdogan emphasized: We have been in close dialogue with Iran since the Astana process (in order to establish stability in Syria). We followed the law of our neighborhood by not participating in the unilateral sanctions imposed against Iran. We hosted the late president of Iran in Ankara on January 24 and advanced our relations.
