Al-Nashre Lebanon reported Tuesday morning that Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, issued a statement at the request of Karim Khan, the international prosecutor > The Hague Court praised Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and War Minister Yoav Gallant for issuing an arrest warrant.
The President of South Africa announced in a statement: South Africa adheres to the rule of international laws, full respect for human rights , is committed to the resolution of all international differences through negotiation and not war, and the right of all nations, including the Palestinian people, to self-determination.”
In this statement, it is emphasized that “South Africa is against the decision of this legal body regarding the request to issue an arrest warrant against the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, the Minister of War of this regime… on the charge of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity under the provisions of the Rome Statute in the International Court of Justice in the context of the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
The statement continues: “The law must support the rule of international law by implementing the principle of equality for all and guarantee the rights of victims by prosecuting the perpetrators of heinous crimes.”
