reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Anatolia news agency, Pakistani health authorities announced: hundreds of people with complaints of heatstroke went to the hospitals of Lahore city in the Punjab state and the cities of Hyderabad, Larkana and Jacobabad in the south of the Sindh state.
According to this media, these authorities also announced that they have established emergency centers to treat patients affected by the extreme heat.
Zaher Ahmad Babar, the head of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, also said earlier that the temperature will exceed 40 degrees during this month.
The official of the Pakistan Meteorological Department warned the citizens “not to leave the house”, stating that the temperature is likely to reach 45 degrees in June.
Furthermore, in Pakistan’s Punjab province, all schools were closed for a week.
