Development of relations between Russia and Bahrain/Putin’s visit to Belarus

According to the report of the international group Tasnim news agency quoted by “Tas” news agency, “Hamad bin King Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain announced in a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that he considers him his friend and is committed to cooperation with Russia in all fields. He stressed that his country has a great desire to develop its cooperation and mechanisms in all fields and levels. The King of Bahrain discussed some regional and international issues in the meeting with the Russian President. He reminded that Putin’s victory in the Russian presidential election had a positive effect on the situation in the Arab world. 

Putin, for his part, said that many measures have been taken to develop relations between Russia and Bahrain, and in particular, regular contacts have been established between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

According to the information published in The Kremlin website, after talks between the leaders of the two countries and several government officials of Russia and Bahrain in their presence, signed documents related to the development of cooperation in various fields, including industrial cooperation, development of trade relations, expansion of transportation, production of medicine and cultural affairs.

Putin and Lukashenko talk about the upcoming joint nuclear exercise

In another news, it was reported that Vladimir Putin arrived in Minsk last night for an official visit. The visit of the Russian president will last two days.

Putin was welcomed at the airport by Alexander Lukashenko, his Belarusian counterpart. They had a short conversation at Minsk airport.  He thanked the President of Belarus for providing a suitable opportunity to meet and discuss important issues in an informal setting and added that he intends to discuss the participation of the Belarusian side in military cooperation, especially military exercises using non-strategic nuclear weapons.

The main talks between the leaders of the two countries will be held today, Friday. Dmitry Krutoy, the ambassador of Belarus in Moscow, recalled that Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Ukraine, as well as the “hostile actions” of Poland and The Baltic countries will also exchange views on the border lines of the two countries. 

According to the diplomat, the upcoming exercise for joint exercises on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons will be discussed at the meeting, which is a response to “provocative actions” by the United States and Western countries.

Meanwhile, Yury Ushakov, the political adviser of the Russian President, also announced to reporters yesterday that Vladimir Putin, after returning from Belarus, He will travel to the Republic of Uzbekistan on Sunday and Monday (May 26-27). According to him, a number of documents are supposed to be signed during the president’s visit.

Putin also had a telephone conversation with Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Wednesday. The leaders of the two countries discussed the implementation of joint cooperation projects between leading companies and the process of developing cultural exchange programs and humanitarian actions.
