In recent weeks, Erdoğan has repeatedly emphasized the necessity of trying to amend the Turkish constitution, but Fekret Bila and many analysts of this country believe that Turkey's main need and problem is something else.
– International news

According to the international group Tasnim news agency, these days in Turkey, A serious and extensive form of legal and political reforms is being talked about. But it seems that it is only the ruling party of Turkey that is willing to talk about the law and political reforms, and Erdogan’s opponents are not included in these discussions. Because they believe that Erdoğan seeks to lead Turkish public opinion to discuss issues that are not recognized as the fundamental problems of the country, and what the ruling party is doing is distorting public opinion and changing the issue.

Erdogan, in recent weeks, has repeatedly emphasized the necessity of trying to amend the Turkish constitution and announced that the current law originated from the minds and thoughts of the generals who, after the 1980 coup, had a military spirit and Militarism was breathed into the body of the law and therefore Turkey should have a law as soon as possible whose main character is civil and not military.

But Turkish analysts believe that now , it is not the right time for these words and Erdogan and his main partner Baghçeli, even if they seek to change the law, will finally give in to superficial and insignificant reforms, and it is necessary for the Turkish Parliament to think about the main pains of the people, following the deviant issue of changing the law. .

Fikrt Bila, one of the famous Turkish analysts, like many of his colleagues, believes that Turkey’s main need and problem is something else, and that Erdogan cannot be in power with an old and repetitive scenario.

He believes that important and vital issues should be dealt with first with reasonable and logical prioritization, and an issue called amending the constitution should not be at the top of the list. The priorities should be set.

We will review the analysis of your thoughts about Turkey’s main problem together:

Which problem of Turkey is more important and vital?

These days they pretend that the most important problem of Turkey is that the constitution for a long time It has not changed for decades and the most important priority of the country is to try to amend the law. But the reality governing our lives shows that the issue of law reform is not even in the top five importance in the list of Turkish problems. To see which problems have been solved and which priorities should be pursued more seriously.

You know that at the top of the pyramid, there are physiological needs that must be addressed for the survival of our human lives. are necessary and vital. For example, needs such as eating, drinking and breathing.

It is only after these needs are met that a person addresses his secondary needs. Such as safety, work, health. In the next place, social and cultural needs show their importance. But unfortunately, in the current era, in other words, during the period of power and leadership of the Justice and Development Party, Turkey has still not been able to meet the basic needs of Maslow’s list and has not passed the first stage to the point where the amendment of the constitution is considered as a problem and

If we look at it from Maslow’s point of view, we live in Turkey in a situation where livelihood and basic living expenses are still at the top of the list of needs of the majority of people. In Turkey’s crisis economy, wage earners, pensioners and small trades are helpless in providing their basic and vital needs and cannot make a living.

The objective and real picture of life in Turkey is as follows: Wages are very low, inflation is high and rising, so the problem of affordability is still high on our list of problems. Therefore, Turkey’s main agenda is to provide the cost of living and solve unemployment, and not to amend the constitution!

The statements of the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Shimsek, regarding the new policy of the Erdogan government to correct the existing situation and Formulating the strategy of austerity and economic austerity shows the fact that the economic and livelihood ranking for the majority of Turkish people will not change and tens of millions of households will still have problems to provide daily livelihood.

It is interesting that the Justice and Development Party after The municipalities have suffered a heavy failure and still could not find a way to overcome the economic crisis, they suddenly raise the issue of “the need for a new constitution”.

But really Is this what the Turkish people need? Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his statement after yesterday’s cabinet meeting, once again said that the current constitution cannot support Turkey in the path of development and progress, and that our country needs a new civil and civilian constitution.

While Turkish citizens, unlike Erdogan, do not think about the constitution and their main problem is finding food and livelihood. Citizens who remain in the basic needs of Maslow’s pyramid do not care about the new and old law! Unless you address their critical priority, they will never be willing to support or care about the law reform project.

Does the Turkish Constitution have no problems?

The short answer is: Of course, it has problems and it is definitely necessary that the text of the Turkish Constitution, with a legal perspective, Democratic and up-to-date, to be reformed. But as I mentioned, this is a secondary need and not a vital priority.

Now let me pose a more important question: Why is there a need for a new constitution? The government’s answer is: “We need a new law whose governing spirit is a civil and civilian spirit”.

But the government is not telling the truth here either! Why? Because the law that was changed after 1980 and during the coup of General Kanaan Oren in 1982 did not stand and was amended many times after that.

How many times? 21 times! Yes, we have changed our constitution exactly 21 times since 1982! Well… Is it still a problem with the law? In response, I must say, the main problem of the Turkish constitution is not its militaristic or militaristic spirit. The problem is the changes that Erdoğan brought about and by converting the parliamentary system to a presidential system, Turkey has been trapped in a strange political system in which there is no relationship between “authority” and “control”.

Now in Turkey, we have a strange system called the presidential system, which is a complete form of a “one-man regime” in which the principle of separation of powers is abandoned and all powers are concentrated in the president.

In this system, the government not only ignores the constitution, but also does not carry the burden of executing the judgments of the “Court of the Supreme Court” or the “Constitutional Court”. So what guarantee is there that after the amendment of the Qali law, it will be adhered to? When he is not willing to implement the ruling of the Constitutional Court, there will be no guarantee of implementation in the future, and if we amend the law a hundred times, the president will easily bypass it!

This country needs a democratic and secular constitution that revives the parliamentary system, its balance is based on the principle of separation of powers, accepts the rule of law and expands human rights and freedoms.

Unfortunately, all the evidence shows that the highest expectation of the government and the ruling party from amending the constitution is to find a new legal basis on which Erdogan can become president for the fourth time. That’s it!

So it is necessary for the opposition not to waste time in these discussions and to talk about how to solve the livelihood problem of the Turkish people, which is the most important problem of the country.
