Mehr News, International Group: Foreign officials’ tribute to the martyred president and his companions contained several important messages in the field of Iran’s foreign policy. In this article, these messages will be reviewed briefly.
Saudi Arabia’s serious will to continue improving relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran
After the martyrdom of Seyyed Ebrahim Raeesi and Hossein AmirAbdollahian, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia issued a message of condolence. Meanwhile, Mansour bin Mutab, the special assistant of King Salman of Saudi Arabia, along with Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and the accompanying delegation, participated in the ceremony to pay tribute to the martyred president and his companions. The message of the king and the crown prince and the presence of the high-ranking Saudi delegation at the tribute ceremony in Tehran are an important sign of the change in Riyadh’s approach towards Tehran, as well as the will of Saudi Arabia to continue improving relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the past year, Hossein Amirabdollahian, the late foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, made a lot of efforts to improve relations with Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi side also received the goodwill of the 13th government in this regard. Therefore, it can be said that with the testimony of the president and the minister of foreign affairs, the process of improving relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will continue.
The presence of Iraqi Kurdistan Region officials in Tehran; A sign of Erbil’s desire to improve relations with Tehran
Three senior officials of the Kurdistan region of Iraq attended the ceremony to pay tribute to the martyred Iranian president and foreign minister at the summit hall in Tehran. Nichervan Barzani, the head of the region, Masrour Barzani, the prime minister of the region, and Qubad Talabani, the deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, participated in the tribute ceremony. “Masroor Barzani”, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on the first of June, also attended the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil and signed the memorial book of the martyrdom of Ebrahim Raisi while expressing his condolences. Before this helicopter accident and the martyrdom of the president, Nichervan Barzani had visited Tehran and met with the supreme leader of the revolution, the president and other officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling for the strengthening of Erbil-Tehran relations. The presence of the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region in the tribute ceremony is a renewed emphasis by the Erbil authorities for new openings in relations with Tehran as a permanent ally and friend of this region.
Qais Saeed’s trip to Tehran; Important and effective
Qais Saeed, the president of Tunisia, was also among the important personalities who arrived in Tehran to pay respects to the late president of Iran. Although the diplomatic relations between Tunisia and Tehran are not broken, the two countries do not have strong diplomatic relations. In the last three years, the 13th government tried to expand relations with Tunisia. The two countries also shared a common position regarding the genocide of the Zionist regime in Gaza and condemned this crime. Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, in his meeting with Qays Saeed, expressing his happiness about the renewed formation of relations between Iran and Tunisia due to the visit of the president of this country, called him a “virtuous personality”. and university” and said: “His presence at the head of Tunisia is an opportunity for this country to show a new and good face after years of autocratic rule and breaking ties with the Islamic world.” In this meeting, the President of Tunisia, Qais Saeed, also expressed his heartfelt and sincere condolences to the government and people of Tunisia for the recent tragic incident and said: “Our last meeting with the late president of Iran was a while ago in Algeria, and there we agreed that I to come to Tehran, but I never imagined that I would come to Tehran to express my condolences for his death.” Referring to the common will of the two countries to expand relations in all fields, the President of Tunisia expressed hope that by following up on the agreements, the expansion of cooperation will be realized in a practical way.”
Egyptian foreign minister’s visit to Tehran for the first time
Although Egypt is facing an important economic challenge, it is considered an important country in the Islamic world and the Arab world. Relations between Iran and Egypt have been broken since 1358. After the restoration of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia in March 1401, there were signs of Tehran-Cairo’s desire to restore relations. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the late president of Iran, and Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president of Egypt, met and discussed in Saudi Arabia last November. Several diplomatic meetings were also held between Amir Abdullahian and Sameh Shukri. Also, the parties discussed various issues, especially the Gaza war, on several occasions. These talks led to common understanding and the formation of friendly relations between the foreign ministers of the two countries. It seems that Sameh Shukri’s visit to Tehran, which was the first visit of the Egyptian Foreign Minister to Iran, is in line with these friendly relations. In this regard, “Sameh Shukri” in Tehran, referring to his very good and cordial relations with Hossein Amirabdollahian, emphasized: “I wish I had traveled to Iran in a better opportunity and situation.” But it was necessary to be in Iran to offer condolences to the government and people of Iran.” The new government and foreign minister can continue the path of Dr. Amir Abdollahian regarding the relationship with Egypt and even the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Bahrain Foreign Minister’s trip; A step to restore relations
Another official whose visit to Tehran was important was Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Foreign Minister of Bahrain. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zyani traveled to Tehran while Bahrain has not had diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran since 2014. This trip also expresses the end of tension in Tehran-Manama relations and Manama’s steps towards reviving relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran as one of the important powers of the West Asian region.
Messages of condolence, signing of the memorial book, silent tribute; Respect for Iran and the anger of the Zionist regime

Foreign affairs referred to the Iranian delegation to the United Nations. In the meeting of the Security Council and in the General Assembly of the United Nations, they observed a minute of silence out of respect for the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran. These global reactions, which show the respect of the authorities of countries and regional and international organizations to the Islamic Republic of Iran, were accompanied by the anger of the Zionists. On Monday local time, he said in insulting terms: “Today, the United Nations Security Council observed a minute of silence in memory of the President of Iran!” “What is the next action of the Security Council? A minute of silence for the anniversary.”
