The Minister of the Interior of Iraq emphasized the importance of this ceremony and said: This is a gathering of millions, especially since a large number of people from inside and outside Iraq participate in this ceremony. . Arbaeen is considered one of the most important religious ceremonies in the Islamic world and is followed significantly.
The Iraqi Interior Minister stated: The number of foreign pilgrims who entered the country last year reached about 5 million people, and this year it is expected to increase this number, which It requires more preparation than now to be successful in holding this eternal occasion and to try to meet all the security, service and land crossing requirements.
Al-Shammari said: One of the most important problems that occurs during this ceremony is traffic accidents, for which a calculated plan must be established.
The Minister of the Interior of Iraq ordered the Director General of Traffic of Iraq to provide the necessary solutions regarding the situation and security of the roads leading to the city of Karbala and other holy cities. .
Al-Shammari said: The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, agreed to add a new sea border crossing from the city of Khorramshahr to the Abu Floss port in Basra. to be a passage for pilgrims through regional waters.
The Iraqi Interior Minister further emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and providing the best services to all pilgrims in a way that is pleasing to them.
Abd al-Amir al-Shammari said: Pilgrims come to Iraq from all the crossings and all facilities should be used for this ceremony.
