Protesters in Armenia demanded the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan

Thousands of Armenians demanded the resignation of the prime minister in protest against the return of ownership of several border villages to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Rashatudi, the local media of Armenia announced by publishing pictures that thousands of Armenian people appeared in the streets of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Protesters protested the Prime Minister’s decision to hand over the control of border villages to Azerbaijan.

The organizers of the march announced to the crowd that they support the resignation of Bagrat Galstanian to replace Pashinyan; Pashinyan insists that the border issue should be resolved quickly to prevent new hostilities with Baku.

At the beginning of May, the Armenian media announced that during the eighth meeting of the border commissions between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Yerevan returned four occupied villages in the region after about three decades. Karabagh agreed to Baku.

This meeting was held with the presence of Shahin Mustafayev and Maher Gregorian, deputy prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, respectively.

According to the statement published by Baku, the border commissions on specific issues including the return of the villages of “Baghanis Ayrim”, “Ashaghi Skipara”, “Hirimeli” and ” Kizilkhajili, which Armenia occupied during the First Karabakh War, agreed to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was also decided to prepare the coordinates of the border line in Tavush region, taking into account geodetic measurements (knowledge of measuring the size and shape of the earth) and to the protocol by May 25 Be converted and signed. During this meeting, the parties also agreed to prepare the draft regulations on the joint activity of the commissions by July 1.
