Russia’s readiness to help resolve the consequences of floods in Armenia

According to the report of the international group Tasnim news agency quoting “Novosti” news agency, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced last night, Sunday, that it is ready to provide the necessary assistance to deal with the consequences of the flood in connection with the emergency situation in the Republic of Armenia due to heavy rains and flooding.

In the statement published by this ministry, it is stated: In relation to the state of emergency that has arisen in the Republic of Armenia due to heavy rain, lightning and flooding of rivers, the party Russia is ready to provide the necessary assistance to eliminate the consequences of floods and mudslides, and the command of the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia has been given the necessary orders to deliver the necessary equipment and relief forces.

The Ministry of Defense reminded that, if requested by the Armenian side, the troops and equipment of the Russian armed forces will be immediately sent to the affected areas.

In this regard, the Ministry of Incidents Unexpectedly, Russia has also suggested to Yerevan authorities that if needed, it is able to provide the necessary assistance due to the critical situation caused by floods in this country after heavy rains, and the Russian side is ready to send rescuers to help the flooded people and carry out restoration work. .

During Saturday and Sunday, heavy rains in the northern regions of Armenia led to the flooding of several rivers, washing away their banks and flooding, causing great damage to infrastructure and nearby residential areas. According to the latest statistics, so far two people have died, some are missing and hundreds of people have been evacuated from the flooded area.
