Hamas: Our attitude towards Biden’s words is positive

Hamas announced that it has a positive attitude towards the ceasefire proposal announced by the American president.

According to Mehr News Agency, The Hamas movement issued an official statement: We agree with what US President Joe Biden said in his call for a permanent ceasefire, that is, the withdrawal of the occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction and exchange of prisoners. It has been mentioned that we have a positive attitude.

The Hamas movement announced that the US position and regional and international consensus on the necessity of ending the Gaza war is the result of the legendary persistence of the Mujahid people and their courageous resistance.

In this regard, Hamas announced its readiness to deal positively and constructively with any proposal regarding a permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Zionist forces from the Gaza Strip, the reconstruction of Gaza, and the return of refugees to their places of residence.

Hamas also announced that if the occupying regime of Israel declares its explicit commitment to this ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners is also applicable.

Joe Biden, the President of the United States announced on Friday evening the new plan proposed by Israel consisting of three stages to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.

He also noted that this proposal includes a comprehensive ceasefire, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, the release of hostages and reconstruction.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, however, said in its statement: “Benjamin Netanyahu is determined not to end the war until all of its goals have been achieved.”
