When the soldiers of the Zionist army reached the ambush area inside the tunnel, the Qassam fighters engaged with them, killed two of the Zionist soldiers and blew up the opening of the tunnel.

But contrary to the predictions of the Zionist military, Qassam fighters had ambushed inside the tunnel and planted several hidden bombs in it. The enemy sent a group of support forces into the tunnel. After this group of Zionist soldiers passed the first bomb and came under the crosshairs of the Qassam fighters, the fighters opened fire on them from the closest possible distance and detonated the bomb on them.

Qassam fighters also blew it up after retreating from the tunnel. In this operation, some soldiers of the Zionist regime were killed, some were wounded, and some others were captured by Qassam battalion fighters. In addition, some equipment of the Zionist military also fell into the hands of the resistance fighters.
