Hamas: Any agreement must include the end of the war and the withdrawal of the occupiers

It said it did not receive it and Hamas should see this proposal in full and review it.

Abu Marzouq said in a conversation with Al-Mayadeen: The American government still has a positive answer. He did not receive from the occupying regime the proposal that Biden was talking about, and yet he wants us to agree to this proposal.

This Hamas official stated: What Biden announced were principles that Hamas calls positive, but we need to see the document of this proposal in its entirety; At the same time, we emphasize that we do not accept any changes in the previous proposal (presented by the mediators) in the clauses related to the ceasefire and the withdrawal of the occupiers from the Gaza Strip.

He clarified: If the proposal made by Biden includes the cessation of war and the withdrawal of the occupying forces from Gaza, the resistance will stand by its people and will accept this proposal.

The head of the international relations office of the Hamas movement said about the previous round of negotiations regarding the ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners that the problem at this stage was not related to the classification of the stages and there was no dispute over the stages; Rather, this dispute was over the continuation of the ceasefire.

Abu Marzouq added: If the proposal made by Biden includes items that resolve the dispute in this regard, we agree with it. We will do it.

He further pointed to the achievements of the resistance in the Al-Aqsa storm battle and emphasized: if it was not for the stability of the Palestinian people and the courage of their resistance, Biden would never have talked about a ceasefire. He wouldn’t.

This Hamas official emphasized: The resistance fighters gained many military achievements in this battle and won in the real sense; Especially because they were able to thwart the invaders in achieving their goals. All the Palestinian people, wherever they are, share in the victory achieved.

Abu Marzouq said about the internal issues of Palestine: the future of the Hamas movement is determined by its fighters and we We are steadfast in the field and this movement is in charge of Palestinian affairs in Gaza. We reiterate that the day after the war belongs to the Palestinians and we demand a government with full powers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This government must be accepted by all Palestinians and work to rebuild Gaza and build the future of the Palestinian people.
