According to the foreign policy group Tasnim news agency, collective Servants, friends and enthusiasts of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, representatives of mosques and associations and families of Iranian diplomats attended the memorial service of Imam Khomeini on Monday evening at the residence of the Iranian ambassador in Berlin.
In this ceremony, after the recitation of the Quran, a summary of the biography of Imam Khomeini, a jurist, mystic, and authority on taqlid, was read.
Reading poems about the Imam and his special moral characteristics was another part of the program.
Subjects such as “The Imam’s special attention to the category of serving the people” Imam’s special view on “the unity of the word” and “Palestine” was the focus of the speech of Mahmoud Farazandeh, the Iranian ambassador to Germany.
He stated in part of his speech: “Imam Khomeini brought honor to us. One of the most important monuments of the Imam is the issue of Palestine and Jerusalem, and these days we see the importance of this category more than in the past”. Regarding Palestine, the Imam (RA) said that “The issue of Palestine is not a matter of soil… The issue of Palestine is an issue for the believers of the ages, past, present and future.”
At the end of the ceremony, some participants in the program shared memories of Imam Khomeini’s era.
