Macron: We will send Mirage fighters to Ukraine
reported by Mehr News Agency, French TV published a report this Friday that President Emmanuel Macron promised that Paris would send Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine.
According to this media, the French president added that Paris intends to train Ukrainian pilots as well.
After meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Elysee Palace, he added that France is training 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers.
According to the Reuters news agency, Macron did not specify in his Friday morning speech how many Mirages France will provide to Ukraine, for how long or under what financial conditions.
French President Emmanuel Macron added that usually between 5 and 6 months are needed to train the Ukrainian military, and therefore the training of pilots will last until the end of the year.

Macron noted that the cooperation between the two countries has started and the Mirage 2000 fighter jets manufactured by the French Dassault company will be transferred to Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine and the Minister of Defense of this country also yesterday asked all the so-called allies of Kiev to train Ukrainian soldiers faster.
This is while Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned in a speech on Tuesday that any of the French coaches present in Ukraine will be among Moscow’s “legitimate targets”.
