Robert Fico, who was the target of a terrorist attack about 15 days ago, was released from the hospital last week after several surgeries and recovery. The hospital authorities announced that Fico’s examinations have been completed and further described his physical condition as positive.
Fico was the target of a terrorist attack on May 15 while welcoming his supporters in Handelva, Slovakia. The attacker shot him four times at close range. The most damage was done to his stomach and abdomen.
The prime minister of Slovakia was taken to the hospital immediately after the attack and underwent surgery that lasted five hours. The suspect of this attack is a 71-year-old man and he was arrested at the scene of the incident and accused of assassination.
