We demand a permanent ceasefire and a fair agreement for the exchange of prisoners
report Mehr News, Osama Hamdan, one of the leaders of Hamas, said in a conversation with al-Arabi that his movement had a positive interaction with all the ideas proposed for a ceasefire in Gaza.
He further added: We demand a permanent ceasefire and we are ready for a fair agreement for the exchange of prisoners. Despite its shortcomings, the resolution approved by the Security Council emphasizes the complete cessation of war and the withdrawal of the occupying forces from Gaza. As long as this resolution is not accepted by the occupying regime, it will not be implemented.
Osame Hamdan said: This resolution contains points that we do not agree with, but its basic parts are positive. US Secretary of State Blinken is one of the obstacles to reaching an agreement, because he only acts according to what the occupying regime wants. The main problem is the US position and Blinken should be more precise. We are waiting for the American announcement to put pressure on the Zionist regime to agree to the proposed plan.
