Norway’s $250 million aid to Ukraine with the aim of strengthening air defense

The Ministry of Defense of Norway announced that the country has allocated 240 million euros ($257 million) in aid to Ukraine in order to strengthen its air defense.

Boris Pistorius, the Minister of Defense of Germany, announced yesterday that this country, together with Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway, will provide Ukraine with another hundred missiles for the Patriot air defense system. They will say that 32 of those planes were delivered to Ukraine within a few days.

The Ministry of Defense of Norway also published a message on “X” today and wrote: Norway will help Ukraine with 240 million euros to strengthen its air defense. Germany announced that it will allocate 100 Patriot missiles to Ukraine in an initiative with Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, and Norway will contribute 125 million euros to this initiative.

Norway and Ukraine signed a bilateral security agreement in late May, according to which a total of $328 million in aid will be provided to Ukraine over a 10-year period.
