These statements of Stoltenberg were made after a conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest.

He said in this regard: The Prime Minister of Hungary has clearly stated that Hungary will not participate in these efforts and I have accepted this position. I am also happy that the Prime Minister of Hungary and I have reached an agreement on the terms of non-participation.

Stoltenberg also emphasized that the agreement that Hungary will not participate in the NATO mission in Ukraine specifies that Budapest will not hinder the decisions of other members of this alliance.
