The sinking of two ships carrying migrants off the southern coast of Italy led to the death of at least 11 people and the disappearance of more than 60 people.

report Mehr News Agency According to Reuters, according to the Italian Coast Guard and the United Nations, 11 people were killed after two ships carrying migrants overturned in southern Italy. And at least 60 people, including several children, went missing.

According to a German rescue group, they rescued 51 people from a sinking wooden ship and 10 bodies. They also found him on the ship’s deck.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and UNICEF announced in a joint statement that this ship departed from Libya and migrants from Syria, Egypt , Pakistan and Bangladesh were present in it.

A second ship was also found about 200 kilometers east of the Calabria region of Italy, which had set off from Turkey and caught fire and then capsized. According to the officials, 64 passengers of this ship were lost in the sea, 11 people were rescued and one person died.
