The English-language newspaper “Inquirer” published in the Philippines, citing knowledgeable sources, claimed that during this incident, the Chinese Coast Guard searched a Philippine ship and in this confrontation A soldier’s finger was also cut off!

The Armed Forces of the Philippines claimed yesterday that after the Chinese Coast Guard “intentionally rammed a Philippine ship at high speed”, a Philippine Navy sailor “Injured” severity. Philippine authorities have claimed that the Chinese Coast Guard seized the Manila Navy boats with military knives and guns!

The Chinese Coast Guard previously announced: “During the latest tension, the Coast Guard forces forcibly removed the Philippine ship from the disputed waters; They were trying to transfer equipment from this area to a ship belonging to (Manila) that is illegally anchored in this area.”

This is the first time that the Chinese Coast Guard has implemented the new rules of intervention in the disputed waters of the South China Sea. According to the new rules, Beijing can detain violators who illegally entered the disputed waters for up to 60 days.

China and the Philippines claim ownership over an area called “Second Thomas Shoal”. This is a floating island region in the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea.
