“Farhan Haq”, the Deputy Spokesman of the UN Secretary General, said in a press conference about the way this organization interacts with the Taliban: We treat them (Taliban) as actual officials who are present in the field, we treat them as the recognized government of Afghanistan.
He added: We want to ensure that the proper role of women in society is respected in Afghanistan, as is necessary everywhere in the world.
