Russia’s condition for new countries to join BRICS
Today, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia set a condition for new countries to join "BRICS".
reported by Mehr News Agency According to Reuters news agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced the new condition of his country for new countries to join BRICS.
Russia’s deputy foreign minister said today that any country that seeks to join the “BRICS” group should not participate in “illegal unilateral sanctions”.
Sergei Ryabkov further emphasized that this is a key criterion for Moscow to welcome new members.
The Russian diplomat added that this issue is faced with the “full understanding” of other BRICS members.
Russia founded the BRICS group in 2009 and currently 42% of the world’s population, 30% of world geography and constitutes 24% of global economic production.
