Putin: We welcome Vietnam’s balanced position on Ukraine

Today, before his visit to Vietnam, the President of Russia announced in an article about the establishment of a nuclear technology center in Hanoi.

reported by Mehr News Agency According to Sputnik news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin wrote in an article in the newspaper of the Communist Party of Vietnam today before his trip to Hanoi: 2 countries, Russia and Vietnam, have similar or close approaches on issues international are on the agenda.

The Russian president continued in this regard: Moscow welcomes the balanced position of Vietnam regarding Ukraine. The two countries have a similar position on the situation in Asia and the Pacific. Moscow is grateful to its Vietnamese friends for their balanced stance on the Ukraine crisis.

In this regard, he added: In addition, Russia and Vietnam cooperate closely in key multilateral frameworks, primarily in the United Nations. Russia will continue to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation with Vietnam.

This Russian official further added: Russia will expand student exchange with Vietnam, launching joint university projects and programs. Russian Novatek company plans to launch LNG projects in Vietnam.

According to Vladimir Putin, Russia will work on creating a nuclear technology center in this Asian country.

The president noted: approximately 60% of trade between the countries in the first 3 months of this year was done in national currencies.
