Bomb explosion in northwest Pakistan / At least 5 security forces were killed
report Mehr News Agency quoted Yeni Shafaq, the Pakistani army announced in a statement that at least five soldiers were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan.
This is the second time in less than two weeks that an improvised explosive device has killed Pakistani security forces in this region. Earlier on June 9, a similar incident in the “Laki Marwat” area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders Afghanistan, led to the death of nine Pakistani soldiers.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for this explosion. It seems that a vehicle belonging to the Pakistani army hit this bomb planted on the side of the road in the “Karam” area.
Islamabad has accused the Tehreek Taliban Pakistan group based in Afghanistan of these attacks and Kabul has rejected such an accusation in response.
