Holding a meeting of senior officials of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum

According to the foreign policy correspondent of Tasnim news agency, Sob. Today, Sunday, July 3, the meeting of senior officials of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) was held in Tehran under the chairmanship of Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

In this meeting, the senior officials of 32 countries, while reviewing the latest developments of the said forum, the documents of the meeting of foreign ministers such as the Tehran statement, the rules of procedure and the regulations of the secretariat of this forum for approval in ACD foreign ministers’ meeting was discussed.

Also, on Monday, the official meeting of the ministers will be held with the speech of Ali Bagheri Keni, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country.

According to Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of Foreign Affairs, 41 delegations consisting of foreign ministers, deputy officials, deputy foreign ministers and the secretary general of Asian organizations have participated in this meeting.

At the end of the ministerial meeting, “Tehran Declaration” is supposed to be approved by the meeting. It is expected that this statement, in addition to the areas of cooperation between the members of the assembly, will also deal with important issues such as the Palestine and Gaza issue. They will also exchange views on the necessary preparations for holding the meeting of the leaders of the forum in Qatar this October. Kuwait is located. 35 Asian countries including Iran, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Nepal, Russia, Turkey, Japan, China, Mongolia, South Korea, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka , Bhutan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Palestine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are members of this forum.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has chaired this forum since October 1402 for one year, there are many programs including the meeting of foreign ministers in Tehran, the meeting of heads of chambers of commerce in Isfahan, the conference of tourism ministers in Yazd, including the program during Iran’s presidency of this important Asian forum.

The 19th meeting of foreign ministers of this forum was held in Tehran with the presence of a significant number of ministers and senior officials of Asian countries. The loss of the martyrdom of our country’s president and foreign minister, and also on the eve of holding the 14th presidential election, is doubly important for our country and shows the continuation of the dynamic and active diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
