Irvani: Westerners are responsible for prolonging conflicts in Syria

Syrian people continue to suffer from humanitarian crises, aggression, foreign occupation and terrorism. they suffer With illegal occupation, inhumane sanctions, politicizing the return of refugees and internally displaced persons and preventing international support for the reconstruction of Syria, some Western countries are responsible for prolonging the conflicts because they are trying to impose their will on the Syrian people.

Such efforts are illegal and immoral and will only prolong the crisis and increase the suffering of the Syrian people. The international community should not leave the Syrian people alone in the fight against terrorism, foreign occupation and economic terrorism caused by illegal sanctions. The sovereignty, political independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria must be fully respected by all as the decisions of the Security Council.

Any separatist programs and initiatives Illegitimate autonomy is rejected. Also, all foreign forces whose presence in Syria is recognized as illegal by the Syrian government must be withdrawn from Syria. And the unconditional withdrawal of American forces from Syria is necessary for the peace and stability of Syria. Instead of fighting terrorism, they continue to support terrorist groups designated by the United Nations, such as Jabhat al-Nusra (Sham Writing Committee) and loot the oil and wealth of the Syrian people.

The fight against terrorists in Syria must continue until their threats are completely eliminated. This work must be done with great care for the lives of civilians. Terrorists should not be allowed to take a large number of civilians hostage and turn areas like Idlib into their safe havens.

Islamic Republic Iran strongly condemns the Israeli regime’s continuous aggression against Syrian sovereignty, targeting civilians and critical infrastructure. The occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by this occupying regime is illegal.

The Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to the political settlement of the Syrian situation and supports the process. The political will continue to be led and owned by the Syrians and facilitated by the United Nations. The political process is essential. This committee should act without any external interference or pressure or set any deadline to complete its work.

They ignore the existing human and economic situation and continue to pursue their political agenda at any cost. We applaud the tireless efforts of UN agencies and their humanitarian partners in their work to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.

However, preventing the diversion of aid to terrorist organizations in the North West region and ensuring the distribution of aid in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner are essential aspects that require high precision.

As we have said before, immediate relief is necessary but not a sustainable long-term solution. Efforts should be focused on rebuilding critical infrastructure to provide conditions for the safe return of refugees and internally displaced persons.
