The statement of Hamas states: This year, at the same time as the International Day of Support for Victims of Torture, we are witnessing the escalation of crimes and aggressions of the Zionist regime against Palestinian prisoners. Since the beginning of the war in Gaza, about 60 Palestinians, including 40 residents of the Gaza Strip, have died under torture in the prisons of the Zionist regime.
Hamas stated: The barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime against Palestinian prisoners require immediate and serious action by the United Nations and the international community to stop these crimes.
