Erdoğan: Netanyahu intends to expand the war/We will stay with Lebanon

At the same time as the tensions between Beirut and Tel Aviv increased, the president of Turkey claimed that the country will stand by Lebanon.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted Reuters, at the same time as the tensions between Lebanon and the Zionist regime escalated, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the countries of the region to support Beirut.

Clashes between the Zionist regime and Lebanon’s Hezbollah have intensified in recent weeks, and fears of a full-scale war between Hezbollah and Tel Aviv have increased. Hezbollah’s attacks and the bombing of Israel’s northern border have led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of settlers and, of course, Lebanese border citizens.

Erdogan said in the Turkish parliament, pointing out that Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime, intends to expand the war in Gaza to the region: it seems that Israel after The destruction of Gaza is aimed at Lebanon. Western countries also help Israel behind the scenes.

He added: Netanyahu’s plans to spread the war to the region will lead to a great disaster. Western support for Israel is unfortunate. Türkiye stands by the brothers and the country of Lebanon. I also ask other countries in the region to stand by Lebanon.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said earlier this week that the Turkish government has sensed the danger of war spreading in the region. According to him, Ankara’s intelligence sources have received reports that indicate that Cyprus has become a military base for “certain countries” and surveillance flights over Gaza. Cyprus claimed that it was not involved in the war in any way and used its lobbies in the European Union to moderate Lebanon’s financial woes and created a maritime corridor to transfer humanitarian aid to Gaza.
