Zakharova: We are working on a big agreement with Iran
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News According to Reuters, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced on Wednesday that Moscow is working on a major treaty with Iran.
The spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry refused to provide more details about this and the type of agreement.
Reuters news agency wrote that Zakharova’s statements seem to refer to the comprehensive bilateral cooperation agreement that Tehran and Moscow are negotiating about.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced in January that a new intergovernmental treaty with the Islamic Republic was in the final stages of agreement, and that the treaty would reflect an unprecedented increase in relations between Russia and Iran.
Yesterday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko announced that Moscow expects to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Iran in the near future. An agreement whose text is almost finished.
