South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff issued a statement claiming that North Korea launched a ballistic missile from an area in the country’s capital around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday (local time).

In the statement issued by the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean Army, it is claimed that the said missile was launched towards the eastern waters of the North, but it is believed that its launch failed.
