America has given 3 billion dollars in military aid to Israel in the last month

Agence France-Presse reported, citing an American official, that Washington provided three billion dollars in military aid to Israel in May (last month) alone.

According to an AFP report, a senior official of the US government announced this Wednesday that the US has sent more than 6.5 billion dollars of weapons to Israel since October 7 last year. which was nearly three billion dollars in May alone.

The US State Department announced last year that since 2009, the US has contributed a total of $3.4 billion to the missile defense budget, including $1.3 billion for Iron Dome.

In recent years, the US military aid budget to the Israeli regime has been defined in the framework of 10-year memorandums, and the most recent memorandum was signed in 2016, according to which Washington is committed to 38 billion dollars in military aid to the regime between the fiscal years 2019 and 2028. Israel should provide the annual average of 3.8 billion dollars in military aid.

A senior official of the US government, who asked not to be named, told reporters about the aid of more than 6.5 billion dollars to Tel Aviv since October 7: This is a big action and only one shipment has been stopped.

The United States intercepted a shipment containing 2,000 pounds of bombs in early May. This cargo was stopped in order to put pressure on the Zionist regime and not carry out a large-scale military attack on Rafah.

After a conflict between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Joe Biden administration over slowing down the delivery of weapons to Tel Aviv, the two sides claimed on Wednesday that they had made progress in resolving the gap over arms shipments.

Yoav Gallant, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime, met with senior American officials in a three-day trip to Washington. After meeting with Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security advisor, Gallant said: “During the meetings, we made significant progress, obstacles were removed.”

News sources reported on Sunday, quoting Gallant’s relatives, that he is unhappy with the way Benjamin Netanyahu interacts with the US government.

The Zionist newspaper Jerusalem Post quoted Gallant’s relatives and wrote that he blames Netanyahu for the arms crisis with Washington because, according to the Minister of War of the Zionist regime, Netanyahu did not act intelligently and calmly.
