The United Nations criticized the attack of Israeli army dogs on Palestinian prisoners

After the publication of images of the occupation army dogs attacking Palestinian prisoners, the United Nations stopped short of criticizing this crime.

Jeremy Lawrence, the spokesperson of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, criticized the Zionist forces on Thursday for using dogs to attack Palestinian prisoners.

According to al-Quds al-Arabi report, Lawrence said they are aware of reports that the Israeli army released dogs in front of Palestinian prisoners. He added: Such actions are a serious violation of Israel’s commitments.

This UN official explained that inhumane or degrading treatment or punishment is strictly prohibited according to international human rights laws regarding the rights of people to life and health, and the Zionist regime has also violated this order.

In response to a question about a wounded Palestinian being tied up by Israeli soldiers in the city of Jenin in the West Bank and using him as a human shield in front of a military vehicle of this regime, Lawrence said that the regional office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Human Rights Union reacted to this incident in a statement.

This statement states: The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights condemns the continuous and flagrant violation of international human rights laws and international humanitarian laws applicable to Israel as the occupying power in the occupied West Bank. Using a Palestinian as a human shield on a military vehicle is another example of the Israeli army’s illegal actions.

On June 22, the Zionist forces injured 3 young men during an attack on a house in Jabriyat area of Jenin city and tied one of these young men to the front of a military vehicle and used him as a human shield. /p>
