Kremlin: All options are on the table to respond to the West

The spokesperson of the Russian Presidential Office (Kremlin) announced: Moscow is considering all options to respond to the actions of the West, including a possible reduction in the level of diplomatic relations, but no decision has been made yet.

Dmitry Peskov said these words in a press conference in response to a question about the recent words of a senior Russian diplomat, according to Tass news agency. A few hours ago, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow does not rule out the possibility of lowering the level of diplomatic relations with unfriendly countries.

The Kremlin spokesman stated in response: “Reducing the level of relations is a standard diplomatic procedure of a country that faces unfriendly and even hostile manifestations.”

At the same time, he said: Russia will consider various options to respond to such hostile interventions, but no decision has been made yet.

Pskov pointed out: When Western countries openly declare that their main task is to ensure Russia’s strategic defeat on the battlefield, of course, this cannot be followed by Moscow’s response.

Hope for peace to return to Bolivia

In another part of this press conference, in response to a question about the attempted military coup in Bolivia, the Kremlin spokesman said: Russia hopes that peace will be established quickly in Bolivia based on the law and without foreign interference.

He stated: This issue is an internal issue of Bolivia, here it is very important that our friends in this country deal with internal problems themselves within the framework of the constitution and we hope that this issue will be done.

Pskov noted: Of course, it is very important that there is no intervention by third countries in what happened in Bolivia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry previously announced: Moscow expresses its full and unwavering support for the government of Bolivian President Luis Arce and strongly condemns the attempt at a military coup in this country.

Local news sources in Bolivia reported that a military coup took place in the country on Wednesday, which is said to have been defeated by the president changing the army commander.

Louis Arce gave a speech to his supporters who had gathered outside the government palace after the failed coup and thanked them for their support and said: Long live democracy.

The president of the Republic of Bolivia also announced in a press conference the failure of the coup in this country led by the commander in chief of the army and the arrest of General Juan Jose Zuniga, the leader of the coup plotters in La Paz, and said: I changed the commander of the army.

Kremlin agrees with the Chechen president’s opinion

The Kremlin spokesman said in another part of his speech that he agrees with the opinion of Ramzan Kadyrov, the President of Russia’s Chechnya, that it is necessary to pursue terrorists as hard as possible.

He continued: No one doubts that the fight against terrorists should be irreconcilable and as strict as possible.

Pskov clarified: Kadyrov spoke about those who approve of terrorism, those who are directly or indirectly involved in terrorist activities.

Previously, the President of the Republic of Chechnya had announced by publishing an article on his Telegram channel that he asked the officials of the law enforcement and security organizations of this region to strengthen their activities to ensure public security and prevent terrorism and religious extremism. do.

Kadyrov added: not only the perpetrators of this crime, but also those who indirectly helped them in this matter, will be fully punished by the law.

Kadyrov previously described the attack by armed men in Makhach, Qala and Darband as a provocative act and an attempt to create differences between religions.
