Germany made the granting of its citizenship conditional on “loyalty to Israel”.

According to the changes in the German citizenship law, people who apply for citizenship of this country must declare that they have the right to exist for (the regime of) Israel.

According to the new German citizenship law, which will come into effect today (Thursday), applicants for citizenship of this country must declare that they accept the existence (regime) of Israel. This unprecedented action, which requires the recognition of a foreign government to grant the right of citizenship, has been criticized by legal experts.

According to the West Asia Eye report, according to the statement of the German Ministry of Interior, questions will be added to the citizenship test from now on, and some of the new questions are about anti-Semitism and the life of Jews in Germany. Also, people should clearly declare that they recognize the Israeli regime.

It should be said, these new questions are part of the immigration revision law in Germany and are added to the citizenship test, while in the middle of the Gaza war, the gatherings of supporters of Palestine have been suppressed many times in this country. Previously, in December of last year, the German state of Saxony-Anhalt required citizenship applicants to recognize Israel’s right to exist in an official statement.

The Gaza war and Berlin’s strong support for the Zionist regime have provoked many discussions, especially in German academic circles. Experts argue that this action will be part of a wider crackdown on pro-Palestinian activities in this country.
