2.75 billion dollar fraud in the field of treatment in America

The US Department of Justice has announced that it has prosecuted 193 people for their involvement in a $2.75 billion healthcare fraud.

According to Reuters, 76 doctors, nurses and other members of the medical staff are among the people against whom a criminal case has been filed.

Some of these people are accused of numerous cases, including the illegal distribution of millions of Adderall stimulant pills and the improper prescription of alcohol and drug abuse drugs. Adderall is commonly prescribed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy (sleep disorder).

US Justice Secretary Merrick Garland said in a news conference: “This department will bring offenders who defrauded Americans and stole money from programs funded by taxpayers and put people in danger for their own benefit to the table of justice.”

In this case, the American government has confiscated more than 231 million dollars in cash, luxury cars, gold and other valuable assets from the offenders. Anti-fraud unit in the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health, Department of Human Services, Special Investigator, F. B. IA and the United States Drug Administration are institutions that played a role in filing this case.
