European Council sanctions against an Iranian official and some officials of the Hamas movement 

According to the new statement of the Council of Europe, Ali Murshid Shirazi, a senior member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and head of the Palestinian branch of the Quds Force, has been sanctioned by this European body.

According to Al Jazeera, Jamil Youssef Ahmed Alian, one of the officials of Islamic Jihad, and Ahmed Sharif Abdallah Oudeh, who cooperated with the Hamas movement in the financial field, have been sanctioned. In addition, financial facilitator Zuhair Shamalkh, Ismail Barhoum and Maher Rabhi Obeid, two members of the Hamas political office, were both included in the sanctions list. 

This hostile action of the European Council occurs while the war against Gaza has been going on for more than 8 months, and despite countless crimes in this besieged strip, this European institution has so far refused to take a serious position against the Zionist authorities. 

The sanctioning of officials related to Palestinian resistance groups occurs while the Zionist regime has martyred more than 37,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and injured more than 80,000 people in its continuous attacks. The Zionist regime has also tried to use hunger as a weapon in Gaza; An action that is considered an example of a war crime.

The International Criminal Court had previously announced that it intends to try and arrest Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, for this reason, but yesterday the media announced that the preliminary court of the International Criminal Court delayed the issuance of this verdict. This action takes place while the Guardian revealed last month that the former head of the Mossad had threatened a senior prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.
