The United States has again accused North Korea of selling weapons to Russia

The deputy ambassador of the United States to the United Nations once again accused North Korea and Russia of proliferation.

Robert Wood, the deputy ambassador of the United States to the United Nations, while repeating false accusations against North Korea of selling and sending weapons to Russia for the war against Ukraine, claimed that Pyongyang is violating the resolutions of the Security Council by “illegal transfer” of weapons to Russia. .

Wood claimed that the supply of arms and ammunition had “significantly” contributed to Russia’s ability to lead the war in Ukraine. Jonah Leff, executive director of the Conflict Weapons Investigations Agency, claimed that the agency had found sufficient evidence of North Korea’s use of ballistic missiles in Ukraine.

However, North Korea has repeatedly rejected claims that Pyongyang is supplying Moscow with weapons, calling them the “most absurd paradox”.

Earlier, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space and Missile Defense John Hale claimed that Russia may have provided technological assistance to North Korea in exchange for the transfer of weapons to Moscow.

During the past weeks, with the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to North Korea, the communication and interactions between these two countries have increased even more. The two sides signed an agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership between the countries. According to this document, Russia and North Korea agreed to provide immediate mutual assistance in case of aggression against either of them. In the event of such a threat, the parties will agree on measures to coordinate positions and ensure cooperation to eliminate it.
