Hamas: No progress has been made in the ceasefire negotiations

A senior Hamas official announced the lack of progress in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza and the exchange of prisoners.

Osame Hamdan, one of the senior officials of Hamas, announced at a press conference in Beirut that the negotiations to establish a ceasefire in Gaza have not progressed.

According to Al Jazeera, this Hamas official stated that the Islamic Resistance Movement is still ready to work positively with any proposal to end the war and aggression.

Hamdan also announced that famine threatens the lives of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the population of this area needs at least 500 trucks of humanitarian aid every day. According to him, 346,000 children under the age of five in Gaza are malnourished, and 160,000 pregnant and lactating women need more food to prevent malnutrition.

The media say that the famine situation in Gaza has become very serious and widespread, and people have sometimes resorted to eating tree leaves. Previously, the Gaza State Media Office announced that the Israeli regime is widely preventing aid from entering the Gaza Strip and that the statistics it publishes about aid trucks entering Gaza are “fake”.
