The change of position of the Zionist Minister of War towards Hezbollah

American officials claimed that Israel's war minister changed his position on opening a new front for the war in the north with Hezbollah.

American officials in a conversation with the New York Times claimed that Yoav Galant, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime, changed his position on opening a new front for the war in the north with the Lebanese Hezbollah.

According to the RT report, these officials claim that the regime’s war minister has now changed his position. Because opening a new front will not be a wise decision. American officials expressed their opinion that the Zionist regime and Hezbollah prefer to reach a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Nevertheless, there is a risk that the war will escalate to a large extent, at a time when the US administration is trying to pressure both sides to resolve the crisis through diplomatic methods.

In this regard, American officials told Politico that Washington has indirectly informed Hezbollah that it will not prevent the Zionist attack on Lebanon. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also noted that Washington knows that this war will be a disaster for Lebanon and its people.
After Gallant’s arrival in Washington, General Charles Brown, the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said: “It is unlikely that the United States will be able to help Israel defend itself in a wider war in which Hezbollah is involved.” Because it is difficult to repel the short-range rockets that Hezbollah normally fires from the border towards Israel.
