The possibility of closing Gaza hospitals in the next 48 hours

The Gaza Ministry of Health says that the fuel reserves are almost exhausted and that health departments across the Gaza Strip may be out of service for two more days.

Gaza’s hospitals, medical centers and oxygen stations may be out of service within the next 48 hours due to a lack of fuel needed for generators, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced.

According to Sputnik, officials of this ministry say that the fuel reserves are almost exhausted, and this happened while the Ministry of Health tried to preserve its reserves as much as possible by minimizing fuel consumption. In the end, the Ministry of Health of Gaza asked the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to intervene quickly to supply fuel to hospitals.

Earlier on Friday, “Hossam Abusafia”, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, said that this hospital will stop its operation due to the lack of fuel needed for electricity generators.

The Zionist regime prevents fuel, food and medicine from entering Gaza. In addition, the strict blockade of Gaza includes the prohibition of entry of ventilators, oxygen cylinders, anesthetics, water purification systems, X-ray machines and even crutches.

Osame Hamdan, one of the senior officials of Hamas last night, described the situation caused by the siege as “serious” and said that based on the current needs of the people, at least 500 aid trucks should enter Gaza every day.
