The growth of Iran-US trade in the shadow of neutralizing sanctions
reported by Mehr News Agency, the 13th government started working in a situation where business was not in a favorable situation. The government had announced that it has relations with all countries, including neighbors, in its work plan.
When this goal was announced, some critics believed that it was not possible, because the sanctions would not provide such an opportunity to Iran and the United States would not allow the increase in trade; On the other hand, things like money transfer for business are blocked as the most important factor, but the numerous trips of the head of the central bank to neighboring countries as well as countries with which Iran has a lot of trade made the situation in this field to be on the road to improvement. /p>
One of the goals that the central bank pursued in this regard was the transfer of money in national or non-dollar currency, which was welcomed in some countries, and now statistics show that the United States During the activity of the 13th government, it has increased its trade with Iran; This is despite the fact that even according to the critics of the government, during the last three years, 1000 sanctions have been added to the previous sanctions.
Experts believe that the growth of trade in countries like the United States, which has sanctioned Iran, is due to the neutralization of sanctions; During the last three years, Iran became a member of important economic organizations in the world. BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are among these cases. BRICS is looking for an independent currency for trade, and this has worried America.
Recently, a statistic was published by the US Bureau of Statistics, which shows that the country’s exports to Iran increased by 51% in the first four months of 2024. Although this number is not favorable, its growth is significant.
The US Bureau of Statistics announced in its report that the trade exchanges between Iran and the US reached 30.6 million dollars in the first four months of this year. This figure has grown by 72% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the months of January to April 2023, up to 17.8 million dollars of goods were exchanged between the two countries.
According to this report, in the first four months of 2024, the value of American exports to Iran grew by 51% and reached 26.5 million dollars; Also, goods worth 17.5 million dollars were exported from America to Iran. The country’s imports from Iran in the first four months of 2024 have also grown 13 times and reached 0.3 million dollars in the months of January to April 2023 to 4.1 million dollars in the same period this year.
