70% of Americans think that Biden should not run for this year’s election
Months before the first US presidential debate, voters in the country had doubts about whether Joe Biden had enough cognitive health to run. Now, a few days after the debate against Donald Trump, these doubts have increased and almost three quarters of voters think that Biden should not be nominated for the next round.
According to CBS, almost three out of four voters think that Biden should not run for president. This figure is higher than in February, when almost two-thirds of people believed that he should not be nominated.
This concern is related to his ability to appear in election campaigns and to be able to make the right decision if he is elected as the president.
According to the polls, most of the American people think that Donald Trump, the Republican candidate during the debate, expressed his ideas more clearly, won people’s trust and appeared as a president. However, the voters think that he was not very honest and lied in some cases.
After Thursday night’s debate between Biden and Trump, some Democratic officials say Biden should step down and give another Democrat a chance to run for the 2024 election. During the debate, Biden is said to have left his sentences half-finished or slurred several times. This has caused people to increasingly question his mental and cognitive health.
